In January 2016, Durali System Design and Automation (DSDA) Installed, commissioned and delivered two axial and Pelton micro hydroelectric power plant to Contractors. In the official ceremony which held in presence of Mr. Rezazadeh, managing director of Iran Water and Power Resources Management Company, within research week both of micro power plant were officially put in operation successfully. These hydroelectric microturbines were of pelton and axial type which were intended to serve at Monj power plant –Karroon 4 dam- and private fish farm both in Charmahal & Bakhtiary respectively. Design and manufacturing of these micro power plants was accomplished in DSDA under a Research Contract between Sharif University of Technology and Water Research Institute, Energy ministry of Iran. After passing various performance tests successfully in Water Research Center, the machine was transferred to the operation site for installation and commissioning.
This system was designed and manufactured by Durali System Design and Automation center for the first time in Iran. The process was completely based on in-house technology and experience. Reaching such a level of technology is considered as the most valuable achievements of this prosperity. The pelton power plant with capacity of 25 kW is intended to supply required power for the dam facilities. The axial power plant with capacity of 45 kW is also intended to supply required power for the facilities of a private fish farm in dopolan, Chaharmahal& Bakhtiary.

In the ceremony Prof. M. Durali head of Durali System design and Automation and a Sharif university faculty member was appreciated by minister of Energy, minister of science, research and technology and vice president of Iran in science and technology

The first festival of Research and Technology was held during so called Research Week by ministry of energy in its research center. In the ceremony Prof. M. Durali head of Durali System design and Automation and a Sharif university faculty member was appreciated. Iranian minister of Energy Mr. Chitchian, Iranian minister of science, research and technology Dr. Farhadi and vice president of Iran in science and technology Dr. Sattari took part to give respect to researchers in the fields of water, power and energy inside Iran. In this festival which held in Tehran, Mr. Chitchian the minister of Energy asked Managers in the field of Iran energy to give priority to the research projects in order to solve today’s problem of the country. The festival was mainly intended to show importance of research and researchers in national programs for development.

In June 2015, Durali System Design and Automation (DSDA) Installed, commissioned and delivered a cross-flow micro hydroelectric power plant to Western Azerbaijan Regional Water Authority in Chalechai dam of Ajabshir. Design and manufacturing of this micro power plant was accomplished in DSDA under a Research Contract between Sharif University of Technology and Water Research Institute, Energy ministry. After passing various performance tests successfully in Water Research Center, the machine was transferred to Chalechai dam for installation and operation.

The power plant with capacity of 30 kW is intended to supply required heat and power of the dam facilities. Ghalechai dam is located 25 kilometers away from Ajabshir and is intended to supply 55 million cubic meter water for agricultural and environmental purposes.

TEHRAN (ISNA)– Iranian researchers at Sharif Poly Technique University have managed to design and build governor to control hydropower plants, obtaining self-sufficiency in manufacturing the system.

Three units of governors built by the university experts have successfully passed all standard tests and will be installed in a 10-MW power plant in Kurdistan province, western Iran, to control the dam’s performance.

It took three years to conduct the basic research process of the the 3.3 MW units of governors. The design process also lasted for 2 years. 300 input and output data working with different sectors of the plant and its ancillary parts send the orders to turbine water control performers and check them.

“The electromechanical part of a hydropower plant is made of three parts of turbine, generator and governor. Governor is the brain of the power plant,” said Mohammad Dourali, the project director.

He also said that governors are playing a key role in protecting performance of the power plant in different situations.

The performance tolerance of the governors meets the highest standards of the world. Its performance has been approved by Iranian power plant experts.
